Your First Visit

Thank you for stopping by and learning more about Wise County Animal Clinic, our Veterinary Doctors and Staff and for considering a visit to our facility. We are excited to grow our family at Wise County Animal Clinic!

Although you will be able to learn much about our veterinary staff and clinic online, we welcome you to come in and meet our team in person. We understand that your pet is an important member of your family, and we are committed to providing your pet the extraordinary care it deserves.

What You Can Expect During Your First Visit…

For your initial visit, we request that you provide us with you a copy of your pet’s medical records and vaccination history. You previous veterinarian can fax a copy of your records directly to us at (940) 627-6078 prior to your scheduled visit. This will be very helpful in our initial review of your pet.

Once you arrive, you will be asked to sign-in and complete or delivery your initial paperwork. We recommend you download our New Client Form and bring in the completed form to save time during your first visit. Otherwise, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time to complete the initial paperwork prior to your appointment.

When it is time for your appointment, one of our Veterinary Technicians will record your patients weight and escort you and your pet to an exam room. There, she will begin by taking your pet’s temperature.

The veterinarian will also perform a physical examination of your pet. This examination includes a routine review of his/her ears, eyes, mouth and heart. During your visit, the veterinarian will ask questions about your pets day-to-day health and if you have any concerns about your pets daily routine, exercise level, eating habits and overall behavior.

We pride ourselves on great communication with our clients. Our staff will take the time to listen and explain everything throughout your visit, so you will never be left out of the loop regarding your pet’s condition and what treatment options are available.
All of us here at Wise County Animal Clinic look forward to meeting you and your pet, and welcoming you into our family!

If you have any questions about your upcoming visit, please do not hesitate to call us: (940) 627-2133
