Dr. Lipsey grew up in Decatur and spent the first 2 years of her veterinary career at Wise County Animal Clinic. She then moved to College Station, where she owned and managed a busy mixed animal practice. After selling that practice and wanting to spend more time with family in Decatur, she rejoined Wise County Animal Clinic in 2015. Our staff and clients are thrilled that she has returned, as she brings a combination of compassion and competence that is difficult to find. Her goal is to make life better for the people and pets that come through our door.

Veterinary Assistants Team

Veterinary Assistants

Our Veterinary Assistants are a vital part of our team. They come from a variety of backgrounds but have a common interest: TAKING CARE OF YOUR PET. Their day-to-day responsibilities include such things as assisting with exams, treatments, and surgeries, operating the kennel, performing lab work, taking x-rays, filling prescriptions, client education, and more. They are as capable of handling a 2-pound puppy or kitten as they are cattle and horses.

When asked what they like about their job, their responses include:

  • “My job makes a difference. I’m able to inform people on how to better care for their pets and keep them healthy.”
  • “Getting to help care for pets and working with the wonderful clinic family we have here.”
  • “I love the hardworking and encouraging atmosphere. Everyone truly cares about the well-being of the animals we care for and the happiness of our clients.”
  • “I love working with the staff and all the clients. Everyone is very kind.”
  • “I love that every day is something different and I learn something new every day. I also love working with the fur babies and the staff. They are my family away from home.”
  • “Having an awesome clinic family that all have the same passion to help and care for our clients’ fur babies! And all the first puppy visits are a BIG bonus!”
